No, students use the app for free without having to subscribe.
You can share your projects in two ways:
1) Using the code of each project. Share the project code. Those who receive the code can use it to download the project easily, quickly, and securely. It is also possible to use the project link (found next to the code). Tap the link to open Make It and download the project.
2) Using a “classroom.” Using the classrooms, you can automatically share projects with your students without them having to enter the project code every time.
To get the code for sharing a project, open the project panel (by tapping the project icon). Then tap the “Share” button to display the numeric code and the link to share the project.
You can only share the projects you have created. To share a project someone else has shared with you, you must first create a copy of the project and then share it.

Once the students have joined your classroom, you will be able to see them by tapping the button with the name of each classroom in the left menu. You will also be able to view and manage the projects shared by each student.
To share a project with your entire classroom or to view the results and statistics of a classroom for a project, go to the desired project panel and then tap the “Classrooms” button.
